The Ilen School and Network have commissioned a beautiful bronze bell for the Gandelow Races. The Bell was sculpted and cast by renowned sculptor Holger Christian Lonze. The Bell takes its inspiration from early Irish Celtic Sea Bells and is further modelled with wonderful following waves. Saturday next May 19th at 3pm, between the bridges Limerick City Gandelow teams will drive their elegant wooden boats in a supreme challenge to claim this magnificent bronze prize – may the best team win!
